Who doesn’t know the feeling, you have a new Arbeitzplatz (job), or have outlived your current place and you now have to move. As we all know, ein Umzug (a move) is not simple.
First alle Sachen (everything, lit. all things) has to be packed up in Kartons (boxes), and then you have to disassemble your furniture, like your Sofa (sofa), Kleiderschrank (wardrobe), Regale (shelves) and bett (bed). so it can fit in the moval van.
When everything is finally in the Lieferwagen (van), you then have to thoroughly clean das Haus (the house) from top to bottom. You must clean das Schlafzimmer (the bedroom), das Gästezimmer (the guest room), das Badezimmer (the bathroom), das Wohnzimmer (the living room), den Flur (the hall) and die Küche (the Kitchen).
Then all thats left is die Schlüsselübergabe (the handover of the keys) and you can move into your new house…
