The Weihnachtsferien (Christmas holidays) are almost here and some of us will be traveling on holiday. For most the Christmas holidays are not so long as summer holidays. Many will make just a Kurztrip (short trip) to diverse Städte (cities) like Paris (Paris), London (London), Rom (Rome) or München (Munich).
If the destination is not too far away then you could travel mit dem Auto (by car, lit: with the car) or mit dem Zug (by train).
For longer journeys, e.g. Ägypten (Egypt), Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika (United States of America) or Japan (Japan), you would sit yourself down comfortably ins Flugzeug (in the plane) and jet off.
