Paris – the city of Liebe (love) offers endless Sehenswürdigkeiten (sights) and attractions. The best time to travel to Paris is in April or May when it is warm and all the trees and plants are blooming.

The list of sights is huge which is why you would realistically need at least 4 days in Paris. The city is unterteilt (divided) into 20 “Arrondissements” which in English means districts. The districts spiral out from the centre of the city.

The most famous attraction of the city is the 300 metre high Eiffelturm (Eiffel Tower) which is in the 7th Arrondissement, not far from the political centre in the 8th Arrondissement.

Other famous sights in Paris include the Louvre, with the weltberühmten (World famous) Mona Lisa painting and the Triumphbogen (Arc de Triomphe) at the centre of one of the busiest Kreisverkehre (roundabouts) in France. These 2 sights are connected by the ever popular Champs-Élysées, the most expensive strip of real estate in Europe.

There are still more sights worth seeing in Paris like Notre Dame, the Opera House, Pantheon and the Sacré-Cœur.
